6th Intl. Flann O'Brien Conference Teaser

After two years of online conferences, the International Flann O'Brien Society wanted to celebrate its return to an in-person event for its sixth iteration with an animated teaser.

O'Brien's acclaimed sendup of hard-boiled noir in The Third Policeman offered an exciting alleyway to explore. The result is a playful teaser thriller, filled to the trilby brimful with references, red herrings, and reveals.

Several scenes from O'Brien's works have been brought to life in 3D, then styled in the grainy, emulsified fashions of the noir films of his time. Type is set in American woodcut presets popular in O'Brien's time and choice of media – newspapers and novels.
